North

North Region's geography offers scenarios from the central mountains and forests to the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. This type of geography is the reason of a much diversified economy of manufacturing, cattle and pharmaceutical world class industries. North region is also famous for resort and golf destination city of Dorado, surfing beaches like Hollows in Arecibo and Los Tubos in Manatí; and beautiful beaches as Cerro Gordo in Vega Baja.
The modern expressway #22 runs all the north shore making very easy the access to these municipalities. Cities near San Juan like Dorado, Toa Alta and Toa Baja now function as suburbs of the metropolitan area.
The North counts with magnificent natural attractions as the Camuy Caverns, and scientific attractions as the world’s largest Radio Telescope located at the Arecibo Observatory.
For travelers who like shopping you can visit the Prime Outlets in Barceloneta.
